Closeouts. Now is the time to trade in your old King size down quilt for a high-quality, boxed baffle down comforter from Blue Ridge Home Fashions. Most quilts use sewn-through box construction, which is a cheaper method of containing the down in stitched down squares. Instead boxed-wall baffles contain the down within four walls, so it cannot migrate outside the baffle. Also, walls are high enough to allow down to reach its full loft, attaining optimum warmth. Outside edges of comforter are boxed with the shell fabricEdges are reinforced with pipingSize: 104x90" Box size: 14x14"Boxed edge: 1"Fabric: 100% cotton sateenThread count: 700Fill: Premium white goose downFill weight: 3 lb.12 oz. By -k from Wyoming on 03/13/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Soft Describe Yourself: High-end Shopper Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this comforter! I l have been looking for a nice one for a long time and this totally fits the bill. I got a king size for my queen size bed since I also have a feather mattress on the bed. We keep the temperature quite cool at night usually around 58-60 degrees and stay quite hot with the down comforter and down mattress. I think it will be too warm for the summer, spring and fall perhaps. I haven't cleaned it yet but I will use a cover on it to keep it clean and limit cleaning the comforter which wears it out sooner.
Poor quality for expensive comforter By magpie from Chicago, IL on 02/05/2008 Pros: None terrible product Cons: Poor fill, Poor Insulation, Poor quality Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter, High-End Shopper, Luxury lover Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I simply cannot believe I received the same comforter as the other reviewers who spoke so highly of this. When I held the comforter up to the light, you can clearly see some of the baffled boxes had a lot of fill...but some boxes had zero! Since each square in individually filled and stitched, there's no way the fill could have shifted...so there's no way these empty stitched boxes will ever magically attain new down fill in them! Extremely poor quality, this can't go back soon enough.
By Jen from Maine on 12/08/2007 Pros: Comfortable, great loft.. Best Uses: Spring/Fall, Summer, Winter Describe Yourself: Bargain Hunter Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The down comforter was well worth the money I spent. It is so soft and warm, its like sleeping under a cloud. I can't say enough good about it.
