No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very nice looking blanket. The problem I had with it is twofold. First, when I took it out of the bag it smelled really bad. It smelled like it had been soaking in moth balls or something. Second, it looked very dirty. I put it in the wash and that took care of the dirty look, but the smell still is quite heavy. Needless to say, I will not be using this anywhere inside my house.
