We were hoping to bring it with us camping as well. It's perfect for covering up, but it's not a very tight weave or not nearly heavy enough to use for sitting on wet ground. We have used it to sit on dry ground and it's perfect for keeping the "elements" off of your food! We like it overall and will look for another waterproof option for the future!

Great value for such nice quality. It is cozy and plenty big for one person to stretch out on the couch and stay covered up for a nap. It has an almost vintage look about it, which I love. Highly recommended!
