By Fitness Enthusiast from St. Louis Metro Area on 03/09/2010 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable, Great Traction Cons: Heavy, Not Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my first pair of trail shoes. I have stupidly used my running shoes for hiking in the past and I knew the time had come to be smarter about this. I like the fit - especially the wide toe bed. I usually wear a 9 1/2 in an athletic shoe and that is what I ordered and they fit perfectly. I've used them twice now and there has been no need for a break-in period. Comfortable right from the start. The traction is excellent and the style is quite nice. The only thing I am unhappy with is the weight of the shoe. I feel they are a bit heavy, but in the scope of all the positives with this shoe, that's minor.
By Connecticut Oli from Middletown, CT on 03/09/2010 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Cons: Not Water Resistant, Squeaks Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear these to walk to work in, in the trails and dog walking. Super comfortable but they do squeak a little bit! I put an extra pad in the sole to help. Mesh on the sides is not waterproof, I learned the hard way. but they are lightweight and comfy and very practical for daily terrain - concrete, dirt, minor hiking. I love them.
