By Enjoys hiking from from Missouri on 11/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable/No Break-In, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear my Vasque Endorphin for light hiking, short trail running, cold weather, and everyday walking. Very comfortable (good cushioning),lightweight, and no "break in" needed. They're great when in mud or when it rains. Maybe that's why it also makes my feet feel hot -- not breathable as I would have liked, so I guess they're water resistent. I did notice that it squeaks when I walk in it on smooth surfaces, esp. when indoors. It doesn't squeak when I'm on grass or mixed terrain.
Overall, comfortable quality shoe.
By Rachel from Asheville, NC on 10/14/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Trail Jogger Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I run on trails daily. This shoe has incredible traction. I rarely slip around. My foot feels supported and comfortable. This is the best trail shoe I have found. I have weak ankle tendons from years of slipping on turning my ankles on trails. This is the only shoe that keeps my ankles and feet completely stable.
Poor cushion under eyelets By Melanie the librarian from Nashville TN on 09/28/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: All good except that very little tongue cushion between lower eyelets and foot. May not be bothersome to some. Otherwise seems like nice shoes.
