By BurntBrushes from Petaluma, CA on 04/14/2009 Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Mixed Terrain, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is a little hard to fully "Rate" these hikers as I bought them for my girlfriend, but...as a self confessed shoe [*], I do know quality and style when I see it and honestly, when these shoes arrived I found them to be even better than I expected and that doesn't happen all that often in this world. Also, my gf, Loved them too when she tried them on, but has yet to break them in or take them hiking. Soon...
Comfortable lightweight shoes By Moose and Me from SF Bay Area, CA on 02/19/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable Best Uses: All Weather Conditions, Everyday, Grass, Mixed Terrain, Muddy Conditions, Paved Trails Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I Wear these shoes to walk my dog twice a day in every weather and road conditions but snow (doesnt snow here). I was surprised at how comfortable they were right away - no break in required. The box label claims something about water running off the special channels in the sole... dont know what that does but they performed well in the heavy rain, my feet didnt get wet. They are about a half size small so order a half size up . I did based on the prior reviews and it worked out fine. Lightweight enough for summer use. Love 'em!

I haven't hiked in it yet.
