The soles were so firm that my feet were cramping by the end... not something that usually happens with new athletic shoes. These don't provide much arch support either. Perhaps these would be great if broken in, but for my purposes, I am looking for a really comfortable shoe for daily walks and occasional hikes. Great style, though, I was bummed to have to return them.
