By Bill the hiker from the mountains of Montana on 03/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Water Resistant Cons: About a half size too big Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've had the chance to use these on a couple of snowy, mushy trail runs and around town. They are light enough to run well in, but the support they offer is also amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to use these on a moderate backpacking trip. I splashed through a couple of slushy puddles and my feet stayed dry. The color is pretty bright; I've gotten a lot of looks. Overall a nice shoe.
Works for Wet Snow Training By COS from Colorado Springs on 02/02/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Sloppy weather training, Wet Weather Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use only for running in wet snow--works well for that (not as light as a true running shoe but not going for speed in those conditions anyway).
Size 8 was a Euro size 41.5...that's actually closer to 8.5. OK with thick hiking socks but go down a half size if you're running in them.
