By liz from baton rouge, la on 04/20/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: they were surprisingly light. i haven't tried them in the snow yet. i wear a 5 or 5.5 depending on width (i have fat feet). the 5.5 was good. i can't wait to use them when i go snowboarding.
By akmom from Fairbanks, AK on 03/22/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I live in central Alaska and wore these boots for daily casual wear around town, to shovel snow and to events where I would be outside for 1-2 hours at the most. I bought them in October 2008. Winter isn't over yet and the rubber bottom part had become separated from the upper material part on both boots. A good friend bought the same pair and hers are doing the same thing. We did not wear them for any extreme sports events, just around town and did not treat them harshly. They did keep my feet warm and dry, even at -40, but I do not feel they are worth it since they do not even last an entire winter. I am extremely dissapointed in these boots.
By sad I have to buy new boots from Alaska on 03/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Falling apart Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: My friend and I both bought a pair of these in October. I loved them. They were so comfy. But they are falling apart where the fabric meets the rubber. And I just found out my friends are too. I only wore them about 4 days a week to go shopping or takes the kids to the dr. so it's not like they are heavely used.
