Not as waterproof as you would think. By Chuck from Madison, WI on 10/23/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Decent boots. The traction with them is spotty. The soles seem to get slippery when wet. They don't work well on ice or icy conditions. They are not waterproof. They are fine in cold dry snow. I've gotten wet socks from water coming through the boots
