The support of this boot is outstanding, it will take a load with great comfort and handle whatever terrain you throw at it.

When wearing through tough conditions you feel like you can handle anything. They are a little stiff and heavy at first, but you forget about it once you see how they perform. I hike and hunt in hills that have lots of mud and many times have a foot of snow or more. They do a great job with keeping your feet warm and dry while climing over everything in front of you. Thank God for Sierra Trading, I can't even find boots like this where I live. The prices and service from them is great, in fact, I just ordered a pair of Asolo Titans from them. I can't wait to try them out.

intense mounatineering boot By Barber Hiker from Pikes Peak Region, CO on 12/09/2008 Pros: Ankle Support, Great Traction, Water Resistant Cons: Heavy, Too Stiff/Not Flexible Best Uses: Cold Weather, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These aren't for a day hiker, but for mountaineering. Really like the combination of laces so you can tighten the bottom and then move on to the top. Extended break in time so first wear around the house, short walks, etc... No bend or give in flexibility as it is supposed to be for this type of boot so I'd only use this for class 3 climbs. May be able to replace a plastic boot for cold hikes in the snow. For backpacking with a heavy pack go for the Sasslong by Asolo.
