    My husband wears a 42x32 jean and the XXL (waist 40-43) were way too small! He couldn't get them over his hips. Nice looking pants, but be aware of the sizing.

    The "adjustable elastic waistband" has no adjustment. Just walking around, the pants were sliding of my backside. The "Zip back pocket" is not zippered but velcro, which is not as secure. The no frills description is right, but you need to know exactly what you're getting.

    Pants are fine for shovling snow but there is no true belt to tighten the pants. They are really meant to be put on over something else. Since the sizes are general and there is no belt, it is hard to keep them tight. Not sure they would be great for sports.
