    Pros:
    Good Capacity, Strong Material, Waterproof
    Best Uses:
    Boating, Walking in a downpour
    Describe Yourself:
    Professional Guide
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This is a pretty good sized bag. So don't go thinking that it'll work as a bag for a couple necessary items if you live somewhere wet. I coach rowing, and it is great to toss in the launch with me in the morning, and not have to worry that my extra layers or video camera or whatever is going to get soaked. It IS a messenger bag though (which makes getting it around easier), so keep in mind that it does have a padded mesh panel on the back. So far that part has been kept pretty dry, so can't say how it'll fare. But even if it were sopping wet, I would still be pretty happy with having all my stuff as dry as when I put it in the bag.

I use this daily in the Pacific Northwest as a year round bike commuter. It is truly waterproof and durable and the material is less polluting than regular gore-tex. The strap adjustment slips sometimes under heavy loads, but I'm only talking about when the pack is really loaded down.
