Great for Using anywhere one needs to stay cool while sleeping

I was sold by the mention of "cool and comfortable sleeping" - as it's been too hot and too dry here in Texas for too long. However, there is no "there" there - this mat is maybe half a inch thick and compresses under my weight to almost nothing. It offers no cushioning whatsoever; it's like sleeping on only a tarp. Perhaps it will offer coolness when laid atop a regular camp mat; that possibility is all that's keeping me from returning it. Be sure this is what you want.

This is perfect for my kayak and boating adventures as it's lightweight, easily storable, waterproof, and great for sitting/laying down on various terrains when taking a landing. Will also add it to my backpacking gear for extra comfort.
