Pacific Outdoor Foam Paddle Float

This could be a lifesaver. Having it (and knowing how to use it) is important. It also makes a good shore seat.

Used it once to see how it works. I kept it centered on the paddle shaft (It shifted a little maybe some tape or velcro could stablize it if I continued to use it in that location.) then slid it to the the paddle blade leverage position and it did just right for a wet 180 Lb whale with a PFD on to roll back on and into the cockpit of a Necky Amuruk. For future use I will tie a shock cord tether to the paddle center and handle use it as seat cushion then position it on the paddle blade when I need it.

prefer over inflatable (if you have room)

Every kayaker that paddles a sit inside kayak should have a paddle float to assist you in getting back in the kayak in the event of a capsize...this one works very well!
