“Cute - but not sure if it will be warm”

By MomSquaredVerified Purchaser from Minneapolis, MN on 06/03/2010
Pros:
Attractive, Water resistant, Windproof
Cons:
No Insulation Rating
Best Uses:
Casual Wear
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
“I bought this jacket in pink and another one in a larger size for my oldest daughter (her jacket is lime) and I can say they are certainly attractive coats. These will be the girls' school coats, so they will get daily wear during the winter (5-6 mos) and, for my youngest, a fair amount of outdoor playtime. I like the lining in these - it is a soft, curly pile/poly fur. That will make these a joy to wear when things get cold. However, I always buy down-filled coats that have an insulation rating, and these do not fit that bill. There is no insulation rating on these jackets, so I doubt they will perform as well as thinsulate or down, but this year we can't afford expensive jackets so these will have to do with extra layers and good snow bibs. If you are in a warmer climate and just want something that has the look of a feminine, girls parka/ski jacket, without the bulk or actual insulation value, this would be great. Probably best suited for temps above zero.”
