I bought this to use on trips, so I wouldn't have to carry a larger bag or pack. I can put my ipod in one part and ID, travel docs etc. in other slots. But I'll also use it for day to day erranding if I need a bit more space than my smaller pouch. The wire reinforced strap tends to twist at the part where there are two strands, and that makes the shoulder pad twist as well, but I think once I use the bag a few times that will not be as big a problem.

I took this on vacation to Peru. It was a little too big and even though the zippers and clasps were for my own protection it seem to get in my way more

I bought this for my husband on a month long trip to SE Asia. He seemed to have difficulty accessing items in the bag in a timely manner. I'm not sure if it was just him not being used to using a "purse" or if it was actually restricting that way. I will try it myself to be sure. Otherwise, it is attractive and well-made. We were in MANY crowded areas where pick-pockets lurked and did not have one bit of a problem. Since we were carrying passports, large amounts of cash, and important phone numbers, we really needed to ensure our belongings remained with us. I believe this pouch met that need without any question. I would recommend.
