Then to keep feet warm while walking dogs in the afternoon. They do perform well in these 2 categories. They are tricky to get on the insulation is not sewn into the shell so it bunches up. The plastic back of heel piece is painful if my foot lands wrong. I am also experimenting with insoles as they arent very comfy.

They look very nice with leggings and skirts, but are still waterproof and durable. My only complaint is that the nicely cushioned footbed seems to retain moisture (from perspiration), and despite airing out for several days, they still required a boot dryer to get completely dry. It could be because I ordered the smallest size (US 5) and there is not enough space for air circulation. Other than that, great purchase for a great price.

THIS fits the bill. Not chunky, so very very comfortable, easy to put on and off. No issues so far with regard to cleaning. A great purchase ... I'm getting another pair to save for another year!
