not enough breathable but very warm.

I bought these for my son to wear around campus in the snow and rain. I was very impressed with the quality and look of these boots. The superior workmanship is very evident. They are lined with a soft fur-like material and they seem like they will be super warm. My son normally wears a 10-10 1/2 and after calling customer service they insisted I should order the 43. I should have listened to the other reviewers because these boots were a full size too small. I had to return them for the 44 which were a perfect fit. My son has a wider foot, but said the width was fine. So if you are trying to decide which size to order please take my comments into account.

I only just received these so I cannot comment yet on performance. But the pamphlet attached to the boot says the boot is manufactured with a 100% waterproof bladder. It says nothing about breathable and provides instructions on drying out the boot should the interior get wet from perspiration. As to the size: I ordered two full sizes up because 1) reviewers recommended going a full size up, 2) I have a slightly wide foot and normally buy 1/2 to 1 full size larger for width, and 3) I plan to wear heavy wool socks with these. I am satisfied with the fit with heavy wool socks and the shoe with the heavy socks is a little over 1/2 too long. That's really fine.

The boots where wet inside on the first day of use. By the end of winter, they were cracked and one zipper was broken. When I wrote to Pajar about it they told me that they considered normal for thier boots made in China to go to scrap by the end of one winter and that I lacked common sense to think otherwise.
