Pajar Galit Boots - Waterproof, Insulated (For Women)

Purchased for my daughter living in Germany. She needed a good pair of snow boots that are waterproof, warm, and have good traction. She absolutely loves these and is waiting for a major snowfall to really try them out!

I usually wear a 39 but they were sold out in 39 and based on others fit comments I bought the 40 and hoped they would fit. They were too long but snug on the top of the foot. I rechecked the website and noticed they had 39 back in stock and they sent it right out with express exchange. I was very pleased with the fit. They were tight over the top surface of my foot but with thicker socks they fit fine. I wore them one day for a few hours shopping without any problems, except they were a little too warm to wear inside. They have a soft fleece in the shaft and a softer but less bulky fleece in the footbed. They look cute with skinny jeans and leggings and have a sporty look.

A friend bought her daughter a pair of Pajar boots to wear at college in Michigan and her daughter raved about how warm her boots are. I haven't had a chance to wear mine outside yet, but they do feel very cozy with the thick lining. As for fit, I ordered a size 37 (US 6-6 1/2) and normally wear a size 6 1/2, and these fit fine in the length, and I will probably wear a medium-weight sock with them. I don't think I could fit a heavy sock into the boot though. I do agree with some of the other reviewers that the boots are a bit tight across the top of the foot where the leather "shoe" is stitched to the canvas upper. It's not so tight that the boots are cutting into the top of my foot but it's snug. If you have a wide foot or high instep it might be more of an issue. Hoping for snow soon so I get to wear these!

I loved the look of these boots (on-line) but in person, I found the foot to be an odd shape and fit - sort of a flat wide foot that also seemed to dig into my skin - though not because it was too tight - just oddly shaped. sent them back

The first order, I sent back as I ordered the size 40, after reading the reviews. I have a narrow foot with a high arch. I normally wear a size 7-1/2 - 8 and a 9 in aerobic shoes. I chose the size 39 and it is a perfect fit. I LOVE the look and color!!! Easy to put on! I will use in NC in the winter.
