2.0 out of 5 stars. strange sizingVerified Buyer Reviewed by RJA from Oregon on Friday, December 19, 2014these are great socks but they are huge! no way they fit the range of sizes listed.
Like the other reviewer, I gave them 2 stars because the materials are good but we'll be giving them away. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice enough socksReviewed by Anonymous from Chicago on Tuesday, February 4, 2014Tweedy-feeling, winter socks. Donegal-ish knops. Not my favorite Pantherella socks in the drawer, but nice at the price.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Gigantic-looking, rough, scratchy, awful socks. nice colorReviewed by Anonymous from Central Oregon on Tuesday, November 12, 2013I purchased loads of socks for my husband from STP recently. He loves almost every pair & has worn brand new socks daily for over a week. The soft merino wool or merino/cashmere socks are perfect. Those keep his feet are warm and comfy. I ordered the tweed cable socks in denim blue to give him a little more variety.
The blue is a really nice color. And the Regulars fit his 9D foot just like they did the other reviewer. BUT....these big bulky socks are scratchy just to look at! My DH is not as sensitive to wool as I am, so he walked around in the house in them for about an hour with his most comfortable every-day shoes. He thought he might grow to appreciate them. He liked their hearty outdoorsy look for casual wear. In no time at all the bulky sock scrunched up and rubbed at the heel, were annoyingly scratchy on his legs and toes. They weren't anything he'd look forward to putting on in the morning. He's already folded them back up and placed in the box of the few items we're returning. I gave them 2 stars for the color and because they look well-made. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Good socksReviewed by Anonymous from FL on Tuesday, September 10, 2013These socks are medium thickness, great for wearing with dress boots in the fall. The wool's texture is very attractive, and despite being a little rough to look at the socks feel soft on my feet. Their elasticity isn't as good as the other Pantherella socks I own, and I suspect these will stretch and have trouble staying up on my calves as they get older. The toe seam is a little uncomfortable, and rubs my little toe on both feet if I don't put them on *just* right. But this is nit-picking: I love these socks, and am very excited to wear them through the fall with corduroy, tweed, and leather boots. I wear 9D shoes, and the size R fits me comfortably with just a tiny bit of looseness.
