Big disappointmentReviewed by Anonymous from Singapore on Monday, March 9, 2015I bought this and another Paperwhite top based on the reviews here, but am really disappointed with the material quality and the way it's been made. Firstly, the tag says it has to be dry cleaned, which I see that it was specified here (had not checked). But why in the world someone would want to dry clean something made of t-shirt fabric?? Due to the serious impact dry cleaning causes to the environment, I completely avoid buying anything that has to be dry cleaned, especially something as simple as this top. The first thing I noticed as I grabbed this top out of the box was its weight. It feels and is heavy. This is because the fabric is quite thick and the lining is made by the same fabric, so double weight. For someone who wants to wear this as a shell during fall, it might be ok, but living in a tropical country at the moment, I felt hot at the moment I tried it on. The next thing I noticed is that the fabric is a bit rough. It definitely does not feel soft to the touch. Now, I ordered a white top. The white is not really white, it's an ugly white, a bit greyish, really. I am stubborn, though, and I decided to wash it in the delicate cycle and line dry. Perhaps it shrank a little bit, but not much. The fabric still felt rough, though. These characteristics are the same for another top I bought of the same brand. I'm definitely not buying anything more from Paperwhite.

Fit is great as well as length (I need closer to a petite length). I hadn't anticipated the modesty panel across the underside of the cowl neck, it seems to be of a different material- with the white top I ordered, it's not a big deal, but that may not be the case with a different color.

Cowl and ruching turn a simple top into something special. I purchased the white. Fabric feels nice. Not too thin - don't need a cami under. A medium fits my 35-29-36 frame perfectly - love how it shows off my curves - but the ruching hides the "lumpy" bits. Looks great with the Aventura Clothing Odette Jeggings - Skinny Leg in Dusty Olive and a fuchsia cardigan. Already planned several outfits around this top!
