I bought these in winter 2012 for dog walking and general winter use in New England. The look good, are comfy, and are warm and waterproof. But (and this is a big but) the large rubber eyelet on the back that you use to pull on the boot came loose and fell off on one boot within about a month, and on the other after about another month. Now threads keep coming loose at the hole where the eyelets fell off. The boots looked unattractive and worn out from the back with unfinished holes and loose threads. I am giving this two stars because I can still use just fine for dog walking, but I won't wear them in public, because they look bedraggled.

I used these boots for a ski trip and they were everything I hoped for. They slip on easily even with thick ski socks and are very comfortable. Sizing was perfect especially with the thick socks. I would recommend these boots without reservation. We have done business with STP for years and the service has always been exceptional.

This is a great boot for when you don't really need to wear Sorel packs or some other type of lace up boot. Wouldn't wear them in deep snow as they will get snow inside. I have worn them several times after a snowstorm here in Montana to go run errands around town, meet up with friends for food. They are easy to get off and on with the little pull tab hole in the back side. My mom borrowed them and liked them so much she ordered a pair of her own. The insole can be removed if you need to put your own orthotics or other insole inside the boot. I think these will be my 'go to' boots for ease of use for when I don't need full on snow boot protection but need a warm boot.
