    I'm an 8 (waist 29"/hips 36") which is supposedly a M, but the S was perfect. I did find the waist to be stiff (it's 1 1/4" wide), but maybe I'm a bit long waisted? cause it doesn't cut into me while sitting, so I can live with it. It IS baggy in the legs, but since I sew, I'm just going to take in the inseams a bit. But if you don't sew, at least it hugs your thighs enuf that your panties don't show if you're sitting crosslegged. The material is a bit crisp & makes a bit of crinkly noise but it's hard for me to find shorts in fun patterns, so overall I like them.

    I had hoped to wear these hiking or taking brisk walks in the summer. However, the rise was too small to be comfortable. I often require a longer rise with pants since I am taller and long waisted (I'm 5'8", 128 lbs, 28" waist), and from the reviews, I thought this might work, since they were described as loose fitting and baggy. I'm giving them to my skinnier niece.
