Patagonia Balsam Shoes - Lace-Ups (For Men)

i love the patagonia condon and thought these might be similar. they're not. too narrow for my feet.

A great shoe that I look forward to purchasing again. Handles wet weather well. Comfortable without being too "sneaker-like". To the extent that I'm style driven It'd be nice if the brand labeling were slightly more low-key. Perhaps ID'ing only on the rubber of the heal as opposed to on the out-step upper and again on the out-step sole edge. It was a compromise I accepted when buying the shoe, and is a compromise I would gladly endure again.

Euro size 43 usually equates to 9.5 US; these are 42.5 Euro but fit my 9.5 feet fine.

Bought for travel, easy to pack, Not too funky looking, so can use as only shoe, day/night. Slip on would have been nice to speed airport security.

I was looking for a versatile travel shoe that could comfortably handle the day-to-day travel regimen, but also look good enough for a decent dinner. I believe I've found the solution in these shoes! Not only do they pack rather flatly for travel in the suitcase (when I'm wearing my Chacos), but they are supremely comfortable, durable, and sharp-looking. I think they are equally at home whether paired with denim or slacks. I did use a SuperFeet insole, so I can't comment on the stock insole that came with them, but they were very comfortable for general travel walking. The only "drawbacks" I can think of would be regarding the laces, which are a bit "sticky", making it slightly difficult to take them off for airport security. But that can be easily remedied with some new laces. Also, while not necessarily too wide for me, some feet may find them a bit wide. All in all, a great shoe!

These are the first Patagonia shoes that I have ever bought was looking at the Timberland and Keen I already own pairs of these so it was a logical choice. I have wore the Patagonia shoes for over a week now and I love them and even get compliments on them when out. A good buy!

Very light but solid feel. I can easily wear these 8-10 hours a day and I don't think about taking them off when I get home. I like Patagonia's eco-conscious approach to their products too.

These shoes are one of the most comfortable pairs I've owned. They're casual enough to wear as a daily shoe around town, but I also wear them to work. They have soft soles, with great traction on winter sidewalks.
