    This is a great item. I have never worn similar very snug fitting undershirts, and am very impressed. It fits like a second skin, fits great (like most Patagonia items, if in doubt order smaller than you might think), adds surprising warmth for minimal weight, and works great under a midweight shirt, like Capilene 3.

    Yes, it's tight... as a base layer should be. This layer kept me toasty on an 7 miler along lake michigans coast in 30 mph winds with a temp of 22. Of course I had my patagonia syth,down jacket as a top layer. For cold weather... otherwise you may cook in this...

    Havent had an opportunity to wear this outdoors, but it is definitely lightweight and nicely constructed, it fits snug so will be good for layering but consider ordering one size up if you want a looser fit.
