Patagonia Dawn Leather Sneakers - Recycled Materials (For Men)

Well, I took mine back to a Patagonia store and they looked after me. I'm amazed at some of these reviews that are clearly published without so much as the reviewer trying out the product for longer than a few minutes. These reviews falsely raise the status of this product which encourages more purchases. Look at the damage you've caused! People have bought these and had to throw them out! You've wasted people's time and forced them to look for repair options, and some have had to[...] like me find a retailer. These shoes should have been recalled. Thankfully they are no longer produced, and Patagonia staff (well, at least in the store) has agreed that they were a bit of a dud design-wise. Labelling them as eco-friendly when they are no built to last is a real bummer and something that the brand will have to wear.No doubt this was a genuine mistake on behalf of Patagonia. In my case they have made it right to my satisfaction... but it's the bone-headed reviewers that need to be held responsible.

The heels of these shoes had holes worn in them after 1-month of wear, but I like the shoes so much I still wear them on special occasions & then throw away my socks. Patagonia should have a recall, because this really damages their reputation for high-quality & the Patagonia name is clearly visible on what's left of the sole.

comfortable, easy on the feet, look good with pretty much anything. Downside is the sole- rubber coated with some fabric material that peels away rapidly, leaving not a lot of grip. Had them resoled, now are much better!

spent a long time looking for good looking, well-made, unlined leather shoes, and was very happy with this find until the leather on the back of the heals wore through to the insole in less than a month of casual wear. the rubber sole doesn't come back far enough on the heal. patagonia refuses to repair them. i'll take them to a local cobbler.

Shoe is too stiff, needs more support.

After perhaps ten uses, they are wearing through the heel. These are not designed well at all. The rubber sole does not cover the heel, and it is far, far too soft. What was Patagonia thinking? I definitely want my money back. Picture to follow. Hold off buying these unless you're ready to contribute to landfill within a short while.

I use them for everyday classes.

The ONLY bummer about this shoe is that the rear leather wears out quickly due to the low profile of the shoe. Otherwise, these shoes are very comfortable and well made.

These are a nice pair of sneakers. I received a lot of compliments on the style of the shoes. They don't have enough arch support. I used a pair of superfeet insole to replace the originals. It works fine now.

What is up with the rubber rind stopping before the heel? When we sit down we instinctively rest our feet on the heels and there is ZERO rubber in the heel box to keep this shoes together. The leather above my heel wore out in 2 weeks.
