Patagonia Hatha Mary Jane Shoes - Recycled Materials (For Women)

I got these because they looked very close to a pair of Clarks Privo shoes I love and haven't been able to find again. Recycled materials are appealed to me. These fit fine but they are not as well constructed, with no arch support and seem more like a fashion shoe than a shoe for walking and cycling like my Privos have been great for. I am disappointed in Patagonia for putting out what appears to be a style shoe rather than the serious outdoor product I expected. Also, these nubuck type shoes stain easily and I cook a lot. I don't expect they will last long.

I needed a pair of casual spring/summer shoes that were comfortable but would also not look too crunchy with a skirt or dress. I walk a lot, so comfort was also a factor. On the whole, these fit the bill. They could have abit more cushioning & support, but they aren't uncomfortable, even after a couple hours pounding city streets.

Practical but not dowdy and they feel shockingly well-built compared to the cheap flats I usually buy. My 9.5's were too long/roomy in the toe, so I'm sending 'em back for 9's.

These shoes are a cute alternative to sneekers. I thought they would slip on, but the strap actually velcros near the heel.

It felt a little sloppy and poor arch support
