Patagonia Light Smoke Flash Jacket - Waterproof (For Women)

Patagonia manages to outdo itself constantly. Greatly made, versatile product, comfy, warm, perfect for either city or slopes outings. LOVE IT!

I bought this jacket - I am not sure if I got a "seconds" or imperfect one, but all my seams have this shiny look to it[...] It almost looks like it might be the glue holding the seams together but I am not sure[...]

This is an awesome jacket! I bought it a few months ago to help me get through the wet, windy winters of the Oregon coast. Initially, I was a little hesitant because of the price, but it is worth every penny. It's lightweight, but always kept me warm. It's breathable, but always kept me dry. Great hood. Sleeves are a little long on me, but I'm 5'4" and they would be perfect for a taller girl. And the best thing is, I feel really great in it! It's taken in on the sides, but not enough to feel constrictive. It's cut on the shorter side too, so you don't feel like you have to hide all of your "assets" just to keep dry. Enjoy!

Comfortable to wear anywhere

I sent this product back as it was too large and Sierra Trading Post did not have a medium. It looked and felt like a good jacket.

I do love the look of this jacket and it fits well except that the sleeves are a bit bulkier than I expected. This shell is not as warm as I thought and thus good layering is necessary. This is a draw back because the layers will retain moisture tough the jacket is designed to breath. A bit more insulation by the designer would have made a big difference.

Very comfortable jacket. I like that it provides a good waterproof shell without stiffness. Perfect with a fleece underneath for most New England weather. Nice feminine fit. I use it for casual wear primarily.

Hybrid hardshell/softshell. Lining is fused to fabric, not extra layer. hardshell shoulders/hood waterproof. Softshell body highly water repellent, stretchy. Tightly woven, will be ok for wet conditions, but not down pour for hours. Large fits a little larger than NF large but proportioned nicely, and beautifully tailored. feels loose enough for ski/board, but refined enough for streetwear. vermillion is the color of the bird, not the orange shown. contrast color is deep red. very, very pretty. Visible, but not scarey visible. Seems subdued enough for real world. Soft hand and breathability make it unique. Am very pleased. PS patagonia says it is fall 2007 model based on style #

I love this jacket. I have the light smoke pants and they are my favorite for winter sports, so I figured I'd give the jacket a go. I've taken it snowboarding twice, and I love it. I've felt toasty in 30 degree weather. I usually wear a small in Patigonia tops/jackets, but the medium (I'm 5'10" and 130lbs) gave me enough room to layer a fleece and likely a down vest within the jacket. I also love that the sleeves are extra long, which keep my wrists warm (unlike other jackets I own that are too short in the arms) because I can tuck my gloves into them.

If you're between sizes order the smaller size. Sleeves appear long, but are perfect if you plan to ski or snowboard.
