    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I bought this because of the Patagonia brand quality, but the vest was way too bulky. It was the small size, and for my 12 year old daughter to kayak in, but the front of the vest was like 3 inches thick padding. It didn't adjust down small enough for her either.

    Definately suited to a smaller to medium torso paddler. Took a bit of getting used to with the small size but actually gives you alot of arm freedom when paddling. You feel like your not wearing a PFD. Front foam is quite thick. Overall for the price its a good buy.

    This is a great, lightweight PFD. I am a whitewate guide, and I'm not sure what the reviewer who said it was suitable for non-whitewater situations was talking about. I have taken a couple of pretty burly swims since purchasing this vest, and it popped me up ASAP each time. The vest is comfortable, and has decent storage for such a small vest. Very nice
