Closeouts. Like lizards and desert lupine, Patagonia's ventilated Pinhook thrives in canyon heat. Its suede and breathable mesh upper won’t wilt in high temperatures, and its recycled polyester mesh lining increases airflow and wicks excess moisture. POLI-CORK (70% recycled) footbed has carbon to neutralize odor and cork to move moisture naturally.

These shoes seem well constructed and I really liked the look. But unfortunately the toe box is narrow and I had to send them back. I don't generally have to buy wide widths, and this is my first pair of Patagonias, so I don't know if the problem is specific to this model or to the brand in general. But as much as I wanted to keep them, they were just too narrow to be comfortable.

I'm a weekend hiker for distances up to 10 miles and these hiking shoes were comfortable the first time out! Lucky, lucky me.

I ordered these shows and the Patagonia Bly hikers. Both shoes felt supportive for walking or hiking a short period of time. But the longer I wore them around the house, I realized neither one would not be good for climbing tall peaks or hiking several hours. The back of both shoes did not hug my heel properly so heel ankle support felt limited. Shoes are not Patagonia's main focus so I decided to try Merrell and Vasque instead.

I am returning the shoes as they were too short. If there was a 9.5 I would probably try that because they seem like very nice shoes.

I bought this shoes late November 2010 and first used then in January 2011. All I have to say is the shoes get the job done on hikes but wear out so quickly. The traction of the shoes aren't very ideal for muddy trails and isn't all that sturdy on wet rocks. I have usually go hiking twice a week and the sole of my left shoe is starting to come off! I would have to say it's either my shoe is defected or all the one in this style. I brought it to the Patagonia store to see what they can do about this issue, and the floor guy doesn't seem to know what to do so TBA. Bottomline, these shoes seem to be more ideal for dry trails rather than moist. I live out in Hawaii, so the weather tends to vary.

I really like this shoe and really wish it would work, but a size 10 which is usually plenty big for me has my big toe bumping against the end. Just a bit too short. Otherwise I would love this shoe. I'll be returning it.

This is my third pair of these shoes. They are comfortable from the box and great for walking. I need the extra bed support due to breaking an ankle years ago. Love these shoes.

I've been searching for something sturdier than sneakers, but not as bulky as hikers and these fit the bill. They are very comfortable...fit is snug but not too tight. And the style is great. I'll be taking these on an upcoming trip to Ireland.
