Patagonia Ready Mix Jacket (For Women)

Bought for wife, so I don't use it. if you get the right price it is a good rainjacket. Patag is expensive and some lines are over priced. Cut is too wide at hips but this is an extremely well built THIN shell.

Impressive breathability for a water resistant coat. Great color and design. I am a big fan of the front zipper pockets! Love the adjustable sleeve options at wrist. Great overlay for the R2 and R4.

With sealed seams and water resistant description I expected you will not get wet in a rainy day, but you will. Fully wet in the back.-

I've used this jacket continuously over the past year and it has held up beautifully. I took it on a 2 week backpacking trip - great lightweight windbreaker - stuffs down to nothing - good vents. I use it for my training runs from late fall-early spring - lots of vents. I've given it a lot of abuse and it cleans up amazingly well. Just don't expect it to be waterproof - it's fairly resistant in a drizzle, but not waterproof.

I bought this softshell for snowboarding, and I've been pleased with it overall. The only suggestion I have to anyone thinking about buying this jacket is, you will definitely need to invest in a very high quality middle layer (ie, heavyweight fleece or an insulated softshell) to stay warm because this jacket has no insulation properties whatsoever. That might mean buying a full size larger to accommodate the thick underlayer (wish I had). The tradeoff is, it makes a great active jacket in summer and warm fall days so it is very versatile.

Perfect for skiing (with layers), but light enough to go hiking or snow shoeing.

i got soaking wet in this jacket after being in the rain for about 5 minutes. it really is a windbreaker, and can be used for casual wear around town, not for serious outdoor sports.
