    No, I would not recommend this to a friend
    I am a Patagonia freak and typically love all their stuff. That's why I jumped at these babies at an incredible price. However, the straps are stiff and irritate the tops of my feet. I think I have average feet and was very surprised at all the good reviews. I would return them if it was worth the shipping cost.

    These took a short period of time to break in, during which time the straps chafed my feet a bit. I just wore them around the house for a few days. Now these are the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. I wear these everywhere and everything else stays in the closet. Love these so much I bought a second pair as backup, and a pair in women's sizing for my wife. Get a pair before they run out. You'll be happy!!

    Fit is weird...very narrow in back and very wide at the front of the foot. Straps chafe and are too tight over the top of the foot. Bamboo/grass footbed has ZERO flex and they are almost like Japanese house sandals for walking across Tatami mats. Definitely wouldn't walk anyplace in these, but for sliding around teh house, the price was right, and the build and finish are good from Patagonia.
