Good looking shoes. My husband also thinks they look great. Not heavy enough soles to use for hiking if you want protection from rocky surfaces. They look and feel like rock-climbing shoes.

I wore out an old pair of hikers for when you don't need a tall boot and didn't think I would find one that could replace my old ones. Well, this is it! I love it!

This shoes might look simple and plain but there are many great features. Here are the great features: 1. Light weight 2. Great blue color goes with jeans 3. Great outer rubber sole 4. Lightweight mesh material 5. The tongue is light weight and thin The only negative part is the toe box is not wide enough. Patagonia needs to make shoes in wide width.

I use my Patagonia Thatchers mostly to walk the hilly areas of Lawrence, KS, and having used them on ice, I must say the traction is awesome. They look great with jeans, super lightweight, comfy, and quite stable. The mesh allows for lots of breathing. Drawback: the shoelaces suck--always come undone.
