Got this jacket because I wanted a warm rain jacket. Only had size L. Got it since I have a Large in other Patagonia jackets. This one was too big. I want to keep it but it really is too big. I like the fleece lining. Just what I wanted! Sad to let it go but It's going back.

Nice jacket, well made with thought out, useful details. Lightweight with a thin fleece lining - i was actually expecting it to be a little warmer than it was. It has a very average fit (size M), maybe even a little roomy. Would be a great ski shell for the west - it's softshell with enough integrity to stand up to a dose of weather. I just didn't love it: it felt too similar to other shell jackets I own, it was a more technical piece than i was looking for, it had a boxier, bulkier fit than i wanted. I ended up exchanging for a different style.

This jacket is great for moderate cold and rain. In extreme cold, layer as you normally would. As all of Patagonia's products, it is very well made and durable. It is stylish and comfortable. I have gotten many compliments on its from friends.

This coat was advertised "for hardcore winter activities" and "designed to guide you through the harshest of conditions." When held up to a light, you could see through the fabric. It is way too light for a Wisconsin winter. Spring...yes.

I've always admired Patagonia products and am enjoying this jacket. It seems very water proof and the lining is lovely and warm. I plan to use it a lot this winter for skiing and everyday wear.

This coat is beautiful and for this price, what a great deal! It is a great backcountry coat that is roomy enough to layer under - I can easily fit a thin or thick fleece under it and I can even fit my down "emergency layer" coat under it and only slightly look like a marshmellow! This coat has so much attention to detail - for example, the hood can expand to fit over a helmet OR you can cinch it down to wear regular. I also like the extra fleece lining which adds just a little bit more warmth than say my NF Mountain Light which is just pure shell. AWESOME COAT!

This coat rocks!! It fits enough, but not too snug! So on the really bitter cold days in the Colorado mountains I can throw a fleece under it! I love it, what a smokin deal I got on it!

Lightweight and warm enough for all but the most extreme winter conditions, with a thin and flexible pile lining. Fits perfectly in all dimensions, and looks great too!

I can only comment on the fit, as it's still summer here. But, fit is important, as I've returned many hi-tech articles of clothing because they didn't fit. The cut of the jacket is perfect, not to slim, and not too bulky. The materials are lightweight, but the lining feels substantial enough for resort skiing. I presume the materials will perform great as the brand name implies.
