I was afraid that these would be a little bit "old lady" but always need pretty shoes that I can wear to walk around downtown, and from the office to the train station, so I gave these a try. They are definitely on the simple side but the color and style are exactly like some of the shoes in my trendy teen catalogs this spring. Other reviewers are correct about the size; I normally wear a 9, so I ordered an 8 in these and they fit very well. I have a slender ankle and the strap fits fine, though they are a bit loose in the heel cup - but there's no rubbing or chafing at all. One note: the brand name is embossed in the ankle strap, but is not obtrusive, and I don't find it annoying even though I usually don't like to display branding. Overall a great sandal!
