PI never disappoints in their quality and these shorts are no exception. Slightly longer than my elite shorts, these are very comfortable and supportive throughout.

These shorts are disappointing. They are a redesign from the style of years past, which had a simple, thin waistband and simple leg grippers. The old style was much more streamlined and comfortable. The lower sewn-on leg sections of the new style are uncomfortably tight and don't permit length adjustment by hiking them up a bit like one could do with the the old style. The worst change with these cycling shorts is the material. It is much thinner than what was used with the older style and even new, is somewhat see-through. Get with the program PI; ladies do not like see through cycling shorts!
I have chosen the Attack short for over 7 years now because of the 3D Chamois, which I find great for long touring days. Thankfully, the chamois didn't change too much. I bought these shorts on sale, so I will probably keep them, even though I don't love them. Had I paid full price, they would be returned, for sure.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
