I agree this jerse runs a little big. I am 5'11", and the medium is loose fitting, but not overly. I like it for particularly warm weather days. For $<35, this jersey is a great deal in my view.

This is a quality jersey that one would expect from PI. I wish STP would indicate the type of fit - form fit/semi form fit - the way PI describes their jerseys. It'll make the guesswork go away for a lot of us. This is a semi form-fit, BTW.
Otherwise, the only issue that I have with this jersey is that the rear pockets are positioned too low. Other PI jerseys I own all have pockets that rest above the small of your back. When it's low like this, things in your pocket tend to pull on the jersey backwards.
It's a small glitch in an otherwise very good jersey.

I'm 5'11" and always wear a medium jersey. This jersey was so long it covered my butt. Item returned.

Cut with a little room at the openings and in the body for a more 'recreational' fit. Good quality lighter jersey.

    • Sizing: Feels half size too big

Question & Answer

  • “Is this a form fitting jersey or more loose fitting?”
Asked by Anonymous from Unknown on 8/15/2010 12:00:00 AM
    • It is closer to a form fitting jersey rather than a loose fit.
Answered on 8/18/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • It's a little closer to loose fit than form fit. Though, it is definitely not "baggy". If you're looking for ultra-aerodynamic with zero wind resistance, this might not be the right jersey. If you want form fit with a bit of comfort, this is probably what you're looking for.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
