5.0 out of 5 stars. Great Running Shoe
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Stephen from Birmingham, AL on Tuesday, June 24, 2014
I have always needed shoes with extra support for my over pronation. Usually I get tired of a heavy shoe and try something lighter, and start having knee pain and have to switch back. These are the first shoes I have run in where I can get the best of both worlds. Great feel with the seemless upper. I have only put 40ish miles on these including 1 longer run and unless something changes, I will continue to get this shoe or a similar Pearl Izumi for years to come. I highly recommend any pearl izumi shoe after trying these out.

The shoes fit great at a 1/2 size up, would be great for running or the gym. The color was a bit off putting for me, so I didn't keep, but the fit and comfort were great.

These shoes run a size small, but felt great out of the box on my first run with them. A nice combination of support and comfort.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Decent shoe, less structured than expected.

Basic runner that has good footbase cushioning. Mesh sides offer a little less support than expected but are sufficient for level ground runs.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
