Love these! comfortable in waist and legs. Legs don't ride up when exercising. :)

Reviewed by Greengables from Bucks County, PA on Thursday, April 3, 2014I have several other pearl izumi bottoms, compression style shorts too, and love them. These, however, had to go back. First, the good - fabric weight was good, love the zippered pocked, length perfect. I ordered my usual size medium (5'2"; 135lbs) and the shorts fit just as expected except for, and here's why they went back, the leg openings which were strangely narrow. My legs are athletic, not bean pole skinny, but not super muscular either and the openings were so small that not only did it look weird, but they were also uncomfortable.

Reviewed by Mspandalou from New York on Sunday, April 28, 2013These are fine, but the fabric is too thin, and the elastic at the bottom is very tight. They'll work for workouts and short runs, but not for long runs, as the elastic starts to feel terrible after awhile.
Reviewed by sd in FL from Florida on Friday, April 5, 2013So I actually sent these shorts back, but it's because I realized I'm just not comfortable (mentally) in this style of short. I'll keep trying, I guess, but it seems like *not* wearing underwear underneath is essential, and I don't like that, or how body conscious they are. I'll still to loose shorts. But the zippered pocket in the back was convenient, and the legs didn't cut into my skin, so for folks who like this style they may be a good choice.
