I purchased these mainly for running and like everything about them except they don't have side pockets for gels, maps, etc. There is a small pocket on the inside of the shorts in the back for a key but that's it. Other than that they are light, comfortable, breathable and dry quickly. I've ran a few long runs over ten miles without any chafing or discomfort in them.
