I bought these because the toe box looked nice and wide in the picture. They are. I run 30 miles or so per week and wear a lot of different shoes. These fall in the middle of my least to most favorites.

I ordered this shoe based on the reviews which wereabsolutely fabulous and I believe them to be true. If you are going to order Pearl Izumi shoes I would recommend you find a store first to ensure you like the feel of them and to make sure they fit your foot properly. I ordered them having never wore a pair and based off the wonderful reviews. I ordered a 1/2 size larger like everyone said to do and found the shoe to be way to big and way to wide on my foot. In addition to that, this shoe has a lot flatter sole to it. If you like the new barefoot running idea, this might be the shoe for you, but if you have foot issues like I do, this shoe did not provide enough cushioning.

I usually buy New Balance but the price of this shoe was so good that I decided to try a pair. I have not used them but only tried them on. They are well made and very lightweight. Use over long periods of time defines how good a shoe is. Too soon to tell.

I should have listen to the reviews of this shoe on sizing. I am a 9 always take 9 1/2 in running shoes had to send back for a 10. I also think the shoe is not good for those with a narrow foot, I'm a medium to wide. I love the shoe so far and love the COLOR.
