Pearl Izumi Kodiak Jersey - Long Sleeve (For Men)

got a great bargain

I live in Pittsburgh and got this for the freezing winters. I have worn it a couple of times so far in mid to low 40 degree weather and it is awesome. Breathes really nice while keeping me warm. Plan to use a lot during winter with a thermal layer underneith and a wind jacket. I think I will be good to go down to at least mid 20's with this combo. I have broad shoulders and the width is perfect for me which is hard for me to find. It does seem an inch short for my tastes and the sleeves seem to be an inch long. Thats my only beef with it though and don't mind that much because the trmp inside is perfect and dry. Plenty of storage and a nice reflector strip across bottom back add a little edge as well.

Just a little too baggy in the midsection for a bicycle jersey. I am a 41 year old with a small padding in my midsection, and still feel the jersey's mid-section's too baggy. It's a great product, though, as can be expected from Pearl Izumi. Comfortable and great design.

This has become my favorite cool weather jersey...just enough wind stopping power to handle moderately cool days 45 degrees and above. It has the pearl quality you'd expect.

Appears to be good quality and relatively war.

Great in cold weather w/windbreaker jacket.

I have been using Pearl Izumi stuff for many many years now and have generally had excellent experiences with their clothing. This jersey is not quite up to the cut and fit I have come to expect from Pearlie. The torso is somewhat baggy and the sleeves are quite snug and could be an inch longer. The collar also is looser than I would expect from an athletic garment like this one, and even zipped up lets a lot of air in. Normally cycling clothing is quite form fitting but they seem to have made the larger sizes of this jersey for chubbie folk. The fabric is nice (good for temps in the 50's or below 45 with a vest) and the pockets excellent, but the cut is not quite up to snuff. I will keep it, but if you are using past Pearl Izumi fit as a guide, you may be a bit disappointed. I would still recommend it since Pearlie makes very durable stuff.

I had an old warm-up jacket that was just right for its' balance of breathability and warmth. I just wore it out (big holes around the shoulders) and was looking for a replacement. This jacket is just what I've been looking for. I'll give a more detailed report when the weather turns cool. Like other Izumi products, the jacket is well constructed. The material is bi-faced, smooth and tight on the outside (like mercerized cotton) and a flattened blanket face on the inside. There a couple of things I like: -Raglan sleeves. -A purpose-built windflap behind the metal zipper. -The three pockets in the back (side pockets for water bottles and a bigger middle one) has an accessory-zippered pocket large enough for a wallet and some energy bars. -The waist band in the back is stiff (to cope with whatever you put in the back pockets). One note. To me the jacket is a little tight around the upper arms but I figure the jacket just needs to be broken in.
