Newer shorts all seem to have 10 to 11 inch inseams - way too long for shorter riders. These shorts fit well and, like a bib, I don't notice the waistband at all. The leg grippers do their job without fuss. The fabric is thick and a touch warm in mid-summer but just about perfect for spring and fall rides. The chamois is reasonably comfortable if perhaps a bit thick. In-R-Cool does make a difference - I can feel cool air moving though the short as I ride. All in all a good compromise.

I have used Pearl Izumi shorts in the past but these are the best ones yes. The padding was just right and the Mediun sizing fit my 5'9' 162 lb body.Material seems of good quality but the seams seemed just a little too bulky.

Another great Pearl Izumi product. These shorts have a nice snug fit that won't creep or bunch. The chamois is very comfortable. My go-to pair for long rides.

I returned mine and ordered a size up as the material is very tight. I could have fit into them as the material stretches well, but don't like having to squeeze into clothing. Every pair of shorts including PI's I own are a medium, but the material on these is very compressed. Otherwise, the chamois, cut, and design are superb. I just hope the up size fits well and I can keep them.
