Purchased these for an eight day bike tour in France riding 30-50 miles per day. While I wanted comfort in the saddle, I was doing lots of sightseeing, cafe-hopping, church visiting and wanted to avoid the spandex look. I use for bike touring or commuting with pants/shorts. They fit nice with just enough padding. They run a bit small

I sized up as other reviews suggested and it fits fine. (I would normally wear a medium but ordered a large). Even though it's just a liner short, I have worn them on my indoor bike trainer and the padding is adequate. I'll have to wait for the weather to warm up to test how they function on true ride.

I am pleased with the quality. I like the lower leg fit of this short.
True to size, fit, and quality of other Pearli shorts.
The pad is an Mtb so is thicker. Beware it could bunch up and chaff.
If you want a thicker pad liner for your cycling this is a great product for you.

These have the manufacturer's tag on the outside of the back seam, clearly intended to be covered by another layer. They are also thin, indicating they are a liner only. I am not sure how some people wear liners alone. They are well made, good length and moderate grip.

Purchased these for an eight day bike tour in France riding 30-50 miles per day. While I wanted comfort in the saddle, I was doing lots of sightseeing, cafe-hopping, church visiting and wanted to avoid the spandex look. I wore these shorts under loose hiking pants and they worked great. These shorts are meant to fit snuggly - when I had mine on you could not tell that I had biking shorts under my regular pants. I am 130 lbs, 5'4" and pear shaped. I typically wear a size 6 pant. The medium in these short worked well for me - snug, but if you're closer to a size 8 you may want to go with a Large.
