I'm a woman and bought the men's shoe since my feet are wide. I wear a 6.5 US and ordered the 39 EUR and it fits. It is a nice looking shoe, the sole grips when I have to walk and trust me, I walk on a lot of rocks here! It is a stiff shoe. At 50% off, it is definitely worth the purcshase.

    • Pros: Durable Sole, Good for Walking, Good Traction

As I stated, these replaced by size 11 Alp X IIs after 2 1/2 years of abuse. The are substantially stiffer than the Alp X, but that is to be expected with a carbon sole. The heel cup works great for my narrow heels, while the toe box is good and wide. The only complaint would be the tongue is a bit narrower than the Alp's but it should only be a problem if you have freakishly high arches like mine. I still love the shoes and would buy them again.
    • Best Uses: all mountain, Cross country
    • Cons: Narrow tongue
    • Pros: Excellent heal cup, Very Comfortable, Wide top strap

A nice pair of shoes, light and strong on the trail, and I'll probably also wear them as road shoes. They're a bit over-stylized for my taste, but they do look pretty slick, and work well for comfort and performance. Also, they look better in person than in the photos (they are much more "red" than you'd think). I normally wear a 10.5 and size 45 was a perfect fit... The side buckle seems like it's just asking to be clipped by a rock, but so far so good, and if it does ever break there's a screw that looks like might facilitate replacement...
