Verified Buyer Reviewed by VeloCityGirl from Hills of Southern Illinois on Friday, June 20, 2014I had a hard time finding a woman's mtb shoe that fit. My normal size is 37, my mtb shoe size is 38 (in my old Shimanos). I tried 3 pairs of women's mtb shoes in sizes 38, 38.5 and 39, in different brands, and they were all too narrow. My feet are not unusually wide -- I don't buy wide widths, but perhaps somewhat. I tried some men's Northwave in 38, and they were too large. These are the goldilocks shoe for me -- just right at size 38. I've only ridden with them once thus far, but they were great. Snug across the top of my foot above the arch, not too tight where the tongue hits the front of the ankle, roomy in the toe box, but not sloppy. They are also nice and light, and comfy for walking. They also look cooler than in their picture, I thought they would look clunky, but they don't. They even match my bike! Great Deal!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by single track diva from State College PA on Tuesday, April 24, 2012I'm a woman and bought the men's shoe since my feet are wide. I wear a 6.5 US and ordered the 39 EUR and it fits.
It is a nice looking shoe, the sole grips when I have to walk and trust me, I walk on a lot of rocks here! It is a stiff shoe. At 50% off, it is definitely worth the purcshase.

- Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist
- Pros: Durable Sole, Good for Walking, Good Traction
- Sizing: Feels true to size
- Was this a gift?: No

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mountain biker 4 life from Orange County, California on Tuesday, November 29, 2011As I stated, these replaced by size 11 Alp X IIs after 2 1/2 years of abuse. The are substantially stiffer than the Alp X, but that is to be expected with a carbon sole. The heel cup works great for my narrow heels, while the toe box is good and wide. The only complaint would be the tongue is a bit narrower than the Alp's but it should only be a problem if you have freakishly high arches like mine. I still love the shoes and would buy them again.
- Best Uses: all mountain, Cross country
- Cons: Narrow tongue
- Pros: Excellent heal cup, Very Comfortable, Wide top strap
Reviewed by mickmatt from WA on Friday, November 18, 2011A nice pair of shoes, light and strong on the trail, and I'll probably also wear them as road shoes. They're a bit over-stylized for my taste, but they do look pretty slick, and work well for comfort and performance. Also, they look better in person than in the photos (they are much more "red" than you'd think). I normally wear a 10.5 and size 45 was a perfect fit... The side buckle seems like it's just asking to be clipped by a rock, but so far so good, and if it does ever break there's a screw that looks like might facilitate replacement...
