I just tried these out in spin class and they were great. They were comfortable and I was able to ride faster and with more stability.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Cut Too High, Arch Supports a Bonus
Verified Buyer Reviewed by DanceFaery from San Francisco Bay Area on Monday, July 25, 2016
These shoes felt almost molded to my feet, and the arch support kit was an added bonus, so I was hopeful they would work. Unfortunately they are cut very high and dug in under the ankle bone upon flexing the foot. Super disappointing. I wear a US size 8, and the size 40 was perfect length wise.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Great shoe

Stiff shoe with great performance, appears well made but time will tell. Ridden in dry conditions as well as wet and muddy with no problems. Initially I thought were tight so went up 1/2 size and much better feel. Also I thought buckle was a little uncomfortable (digging into my foot) while walking about the house when assessing fit but once on the ride no issues. Overall pleased with purchase especially with discount price.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Sleek technical shoes

Lightweight racing shoes that I can walk in, too! Fit is snug and comfortable with excellent ratcheting closure for fine tuning. Stff sole makes for efficient power transfer. Shoes came with multiple inserts for adjusting fit and a clearly written guide showing how/when to use them. I haven't used inserts since the standard insole was just right for me.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Great fit!

I just received these. The first pair I ordered were slightly short based on the sizing guide, so I exchanged. They fit awesome! The heel doesn't slip, & I have problems with that a lot of times. The width seems nice for my average slightly wide foot. Nice stiff sole for good pedaling power. I haven't gotten a chance to test them on the trails yet, we still have some snow hanging around!
I am a competitive Mtn biker & racer & love to ride & I'm thinking these will work well.

About Pearl Izumi

Before Kinji Shimizu created the first Pearl Izumi cycling apparel, he spent nearly seven days a week on his bike delivering 90 pounds of clothes to customers. He frequently pedaled 38 miles a day. Years later, after his son received a special Italian-made cycling jersey, Kinji was inspired to start creating his own using the best fabrics he could find. The result soon evolved into the Pearl Izumi brand. In the five decades since, the company Kinji founded has continued working hard to make the best gear possible for dedicated athletes and weekend warriors. From incredibly lightweight Pearl Izumi shoes to sleek, comfortable Pearl Izumi running apparel, few other brands have the same relentless drive toward innovation as Pearl Izumi.
