5.0 out of 5 stars. good vest

I'm 5'7", 140# and the medium fits well. Seems to be good quality. This is a heavier around town or work vest, not at all lightweight or packable.

    The
Pendleton Creswell Fleece Vest is extremely comfortable and warm. One on the things I like about this vest is the outside material. Its tougher than the nylon most vest are made of and less likely to snag or tear.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. well made, warm, and attractive for an outdoorsy person

It has substantial weight (not at all flimsy) and the quality throughout is solid. The fleece inside is terrific. My father doesn't want to wear a coat unless the temperatures are well below freezing. This will be a good option for warmth without the bulk of a coat.

Based on other reviews, I first ordered a large for my father. He is average build, 5' 10" and 185lb (some around the middle!). It was much too big; two of his arms could have fit in each arm holes. I exchanged it for a medium which fits much better.

About Pendleton

The history of Pendleton blankets dates back to the mid-19th century, when a young man named Thomas Kay travelled west to Oregon and opened a mill in Salem. Kay’s grandchildren eventually went on to establish a mill in Pendleton, Oregon, which crafted blankets and robes for American Indians living in the region, including the Nez Perce, Navajo and Hopi nations. By the early 20th century, the Pendleton clothing line was expanded to include suiting and apparel, including the now legendary Pendleton virgin wool shirt. Today, this renowned American brand owns and operates seven manufacturing facilities as well as 75 Pendleton retail stores.
