This is a very soft and luxurious fabric, very comfortable to wear. I believe these 1X are labeled incorrectly because I tried two different size 1X and they were both too small compared to XL (the sleeve only came to below my elbow, that's how tight it was). I ended up keeping an XL. The sleeves on my XL are long, below my wrist, and the whole garment is much looser. Unless I'm missing something, 1X should be a size up from XL, not the other way around. So XL seems true to size, and the ones labeled 1X seemed to be only size large or medium.

About Pendleton

The history of Pendleton blankets dates back to the mid-19th century, when a young man named Thomas Kay travelled west to Oregon and opened a mill in Salem. Kay’s grandchildren eventually went on to establish a mill in Pendleton, Oregon, which crafted blankets and robes for American Indians living in the region, including the Nez Perce, Navajo and Hopi nations. By the early 20th century, the Pendleton clothing line was expanded to include suiting and apparel, including the now legendary Pendleton virgin wool shirt. Today, this renowned American brand owns and operates seven manufacturing facilities as well as 75 Pendleton retail stores.
